Polvoron Filipino Recipes

Ingredients


2 cups Flour
1 cup Milk Powder
1 cup White Sugar
¾  Butter

 

 

Polvoron Basic

 

  1. Toast cake flour on a pan on moderate heat for 15 minutes. Make sure to stir constantly to avoid burning
     

  2.  Add the powdered milk and toast for another 5 minutes, also stirring constantly.
     

  3. When the flour looks brownish, lower heat and add sugar and butter.
     

  4. Mix well and Keep on stirring for another 5 mins on very low heat to make sure the sugar will not caramelize.
     

  5. Transfer mixture to a bowl and let cool.
     

  6. Fill the molders with the mixture, press it by using a spoon and wrap individually in japanese paper wrapper or cellophane.
     

  7. Keep refrigerated.
