Pastillas Filipino Recipes

Ingredients (about 80 candies):

 

2 cups Powdered Milk
1 can 400ml Condensed Milk
1 cup Grounded Peanuts, Almonds or Sugar
3 tbsp Butter
white sugar (for coating)

No-Cook Preparing

  1. Sift powdered milk into condensed milk and mix well.

  2. Add grounded peanuts, almonds or sugar and mix again.

  3. Put in the butter and knead with the hands.

  4. Now you can shape it into small balls.

  5. Pour white sugar on a plate and roll the pastillas into the sugar.

  6. Wrap them with candy paper if desired.

     

Cook Preparing

  1. Combine powdered milk, milk and grounded peanuts, almonds or sugar in a saucepan.

  2. Make sure to stir the ingredients thoroughly as you heat them until they turn to a paste and bring it to boil.

  3. Add the butter and continue mixing thoroughly.

  4. Take the pan off the stove and move the mixture you've cooked into a bowl.

  5. Let it cool for at least 5-10 minutes, until the mixture is cool enough to be touched but still a bit warm.

  6. Now you can shape it into small balls.

  7. Pour white sugar on a plate and roll the pastillas into the sugar.

  8. Wrap them with candy paper if desired.
