Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups Sweet Rice Flour
3/4 cup Water
1/4 cup Sweet Red Bean Paste
1/2 cup Sesame Seeds
2 to 3 cups Cooking Oil
Butsi
-
In a bowl, combine the sweet rice flour and water. Mix well to form a dough.
-
Separate the dough into small pieces.
-
Roll each piece to a ball.
-
Press the center of it until the shape becomes concave (there should be a hollow spot in the center).
-
Scoop the sweet red be
an paste using a teaspoon and fill it in the hollow space of the dough. Don’t overfill it.
-
Seal the dough and roll it once more until the shape is round again.
-
Place the sesame seeds in a bowl and roll the butsi through it. Make sure that the seeds stick on the dough.
-
Heat the pan and pour-in the cooking oil.
-
When the cooking oil is hot enough, deep fry the butsi until the sesame seeds turn to a golden brown. This will take about 2 - 3 minutes.
-
Remove the cooked butsi from the pan and drain excess oil on a paper towel.
